This was one of those things that started out simple and got, well, very involved. Which was great, because it turned out far better than I expected. (I did Aspen trees because you find them in wolf country.)
So here is Kesame, looking back before heading off to find herself.
This was already sketched out in this pose before I read that she took down her gallery to go on hiatus; so oddly it turned out somehow appropriate for the moment.
I hope you like it and can't wait to send it off to you. It was such a pleasure to work on.
I SO apologize for this scan. I could not, for the life of me, get this thing to piece together right in PhotoShop. I just figured out how to do it in the first place, and I seem to be able to manage fine when something is in 2 pieces, but this was in 6. *grumbles* After 3 hours at trying to scan this, I got the character nice and clear, at least.

My hubby's been having a string of early shifts, so I've been able to work (relatively) uninterrupted in the afternoons, instead of waiting until 10 at night! I got so sucked into doing this one for you, especially after I read your journal.
I'm so glad you like it.

Thanks. I was trying for a specific look from her character, and it was one of those times that everything just fell into place. Now, if I could manage to piece the thing together the right way, then I'd be completely happy.

Stunning as always! I love the expression on her face, deep but kinda vunerable at the same time. So beautiful!!!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
